Cookies policy

What is stored on your device when you use this portal, why, and how to remove it. Last updated 10 September 2026.

Summary

This portal sets no advertising and no cross-site tracking cookies. It does not profile visitors and does not sell or share browsing data. Everything a visitor needs — browsing, searching, downloading and charting — works with cookies fully blocked; only signing in to the admin area and remembered display preferences rely on local storage.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. Comparable technologies — localStorage, sessionStorage and browser caches — are covered by this policy too.

Categories we use

  • Strictly necessary / technical — used to serve and cache pages and static assets, and to keep signed-in admin sessions stable (an authentication token is stored in your browser when you sign in). These require no consent under the ePrivacy rules because the service cannot be delivered without them.
  • Preference storage — accessibility choices such as light/dark theme, colour-blind palette and font size are stored in localStorage so they persist between visits. They stay in your browser and are not used to identify you elsewhere.
  • Hosting and security logs — the hosting platform may process technical request data (IP address, user agent, timestamp) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This is a legitimate-interest processing operation, not a cookie, and is not used to build visitor profiles.
  • Analytics, advertising, social media cookies — not used.

Controlling cookies and local storage

  • All major browsers let you block or delete cookies and site data in their settings.
  • Clearing site data for this domain signs you out of the admin area and resets your display preferences; nothing else is lost.
  • Blocking all storage does not prevent you from viewing or downloading the tables.

Third parties

  • Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which processes your IP address to serve the font files. No cookies are set by that request. If you prefer to avoid it, block third-party font loading in your browser; the portal falls back to system fonts.
  • If you sign in with Google, Google sets its own cookies under its own policies. Signing in is optional and only needed for contributors.
